After a year of designing the program, the Astrid Johana Photography creatives range between 3-10+ year of experience in the industry. Each of them not only own & operate their own wedding photography businesses, but they also prioritize making you feel comfortable & present during your wedding day while also bringing a unique creative eye and attention to detail.
AJP team takes on a limited amount of weddings per year to ensure that they are able to bring their most creative selves to your wedding day, full of all the energy and focus needed to capture the big moments and small in between ones as well.

I’ve been photographing humans for over 10 years, but really found my niche capturing weddings + elopements back in 2017. Getting to capture memories from arguably one of the most important days in your life is such a huge honor that I don’t take lightly. I love all of the emotions that you experience on your wedding day — the nervous jitters before your first look; the laughter and tears during your vows, the joy and energy during your reception. Simply put… I love humans + I love love.

I've been shooting for almost 10 years. After buying a camera to keep me company in a new city, I knew this was what I was supposed to pour my heart into. My style has been described as documentary, natural, and real. I love capturing moments of life, no matter how big or small. I'm an avid traveler who prefers being outdoors in a tent over a swanky hotel, and hiking all day for a view over a spa day (but those are nice every once in a while too). If you're looking for someone to capture photos along your life's adventure in a way that feels vulnerable, I'm your girl!

I have been capturing love and documenting couples' special days for over 3 years now. I started my wedding industry journey as a wedding planner and coordinator and quickly found that while I loved the wedding industry, coordination wasn’t where I belonged. I then picked up my camera and fell in love with the freezing of tender and intimate moments. I am a sucker for intimacy, the intimacy between two hands tracing each other's outlines, the intimacy of lips brushing against a shoulder, the intimacy between two souls in love.

I’ve been a wedding photographer for 10+ years, where 3 of those years involved shooting luxury weddings in Nashville for a very talented photographer. Since then, my family and I have moved back to Illinois where my latest obsessions are making bread, murder mysteries and designing our home to look like a cute little English cottage. You will usually see me with my three babies in tow, my sweet southern husband, and a camera. I'm probably dreaming of a spa, iced coffee and traveling. Since establishing AJP in 2017, Astrid’s style has been recognized by focusing on the invaluable in between moments, while also capturing the day as if it belonged to a magazine editorial print. This delicate dance between cinematic storytelling & editorial imagery has made her work become one that clients who equally value intentional moments & beautiful details deeply resonate with.
She is focused first on deriving inspiration from the client’s story, personality, and preferences and then using that as fuel to come up with a unique visual story board. With a sharp eye for detail and composition, Astrid brings her creativity in a unique way to each wedding & project. Photography has taken her from capturing love at Yellowstone park to capturing a week-long honeymoon throughout Italy. Now, Astrid and her team of photographers travel monthly for creative projects throughout the United States & internationally. The AJP team encompasses highly experienced and creative photographers that have been in the industry for 3-10+ years.
